I don't know if it is the humidity or the wedding stress, but I have felt like it has been so hard to breathe this weekend (like, I can't get in enough air or something). I think it may be stress because I had a lot of stuff go wrong with the wedding this weekend (invites in with the wrong font, mortgage taking longer than it should, etc.). Anyone else feeling this?

Re: Anyone else having trouble breathing?
I have asthma, and I definately notice that I am having a harder time breathing...when I go outside, it feels like there is a huge weight on my chest, and it doesn't go away until I get back into the a/c. My dr. said it was from the humidity.

Wow, thanks for the responses, maybe I have minor asthma...Do you do anything else for it other than stay in A/C?

Re: Anyone else having trouble breathing?
I take my inhaler, but other than that, my doctor always told me to drink a strong cup of coffee. The caffeine opens the airways. That helped when I was young, but now that I am older, the caffeine actually flings me into an anxiety attack, in which case I can't breathe and nothing helps. But that is rare and I actually CAN breathe, but I think I can't

The regular dr. tests for it? How do they test? The more I think about it being hard to breathe, the more difficult it is to get in air.

Its either that or I had mine tested through an allergist. Don't wait too long to get tested.

It sounds like it could be anxiety, too.

Re: Anyone else having trouble breathing?
I have asthma AND anxiety and it sounds a bit like both. When I have it I can tell the difference though. It has been majorly thick and humid lately though so I would say in your case it might be minor asthma unless its a coincidence that you are feeling high anxiety right now.

Re: Anyone else having trouble breathing?
I too have slight asthma (and anxiety as well)...I am down here in DC (which, UGH is built on a swamp). I was at a party last night that was all outside, it was like 90 degrees and i kept having to sit down cause i was having trouble breathing.. Deinfatley get it checked out, they will give you an inhaler and maybe some meds to take everyday.
