That if you get married on the half hour...(as the hands on the clock are rising) it's supposed to be good luck for your marriage?

Oh God Yes!!! I orriginally planned on a 3:00 wedding but it has been bumped to me walking at 3:30 because FH's Sister, Mother & Grandmother insist they will hold up the wedding until the upsweep of the hands... I had NEVER heard of it til they insisted on it.

So is it the time you walk down the aisle, or the time you actually 'get married'....vows and such...?

Well from what they told me I should walk at the start of the upsweep in my case (3:30) my BP should walk 5 min before me and that should leave plenty of time for the vows to have started on the upsweep.... It sounds crazy to me.. but FH's family has thrown ALOT of supersitions at us... he is actually carrying a piece of iron in his pocket for luck too!!

FH family on one side is Italian, his one grandmother is straight off the boat and says he is to carry Toc Ferro (a piece of iron) in his pocket to ward off evil...
