Brown water and dark brown sediment in the toilet... I really need to shower, work at 4!.... 311 has a lot of complaints logged but no info from the EPA about why, eg if there's work going on in the area, so no ETA on when the water will be back to normal. ::Sigh::

It's brought up from either road work or just the sewer... it happens occasionally- like it clogs your pipes u just have to flush it out. how long has this been going on? it never lasts more than 4 hours when it happens here. it happens like once every 5 months? the worst is when you are doing laundry-whites and they come out brown!!!
what helps sometimes is just keep flushing the toilet and ull see it getting lighter and lighter. i leave the faucet running too. just keep trying it and releasing some of it and it should be fine soon

I had grey water in the bathroom sink but unfortunately that happens sometimes... I'm in Bayside off Bell so not TOO far but not around the corner from you.

Used to happen all the time when I lived in Queens! Just gotta wait it out. Keep the faucet in the bath running and keep an eye for it to clear. I always hated when I was a kid and I'd walk in the bathroom and find brown bathwater!

I found out there's a water main break near Union and 212th street... and there are a lot of complaints in the '59th ave/164th street area'
I hope they clean it up fast cause I need to go to work and cannot do so looking the way I do. Gross.
