Re: anyone else not...
I'm not having one! It doesn't bother me at all. I just never saw one in the vision I had for my wedding. I don't think it's necessary and that if you choose to go without one, your wedding will be just as beautiful and special.

nope, we're not. But only because we have no one to be the flower girl and we don't want just a RB

Re: anyone else not...
ok good.. i have very little patience for poorly behaved children and parents that dont do anything about it. and thats exactly how they can be except my 3 favorites..lol i am going to invite them to the church but not to the Reception.. is that mean? its just i have so many and we cant afford for them to all be there.

I don't think it's mean. But how would you word that they're invited to the church but not to the party? We're not inviting any kids either, just FH's 2 nephews. He has a billion cousins and he wanted to invite them all because he was invited to his aunt's weddings but I had to explain to him that it's different because you are their nephew!

Re: anyone else not...
yup. FH whole family is a younger generation then my family so his 1st cousins are ranging from 8-26 my 1st cousins range from 18-40 so mine all have kids his are still kids.. so our cut off is at 1st cousins.
They will get their own invites saying they are invited to the church. we have alot of our parents friends that are only being invited to the church. according to my mom this is very common. so thats what im doing. cuz i want them to see me get married but just cant afford for for 6 year olds to eat at 47$ per person.

We are having FH's nephews as ring bearer's but no flower girl...we don't have any lil girls in the family. I would go with siblings children or Godchildren. But, it's always cute to see a bunch of lil girls walking together. Though, if you choose not to pick any I don't think it would be odd.

Re: anyone else not...
i kid with my MOH and tell her shes going to be the flower girl also.. and she gets so excited its hysterical!
mind u this is the girl who at my senior prom got under my dress Literally (it was a princess ball gown) and lifted up all the layers so she could peak her head out of the last layer.

Re: anyone else not...
I can't do that because my ceremony would be at the same place as the reception, I never even thought about it! I have a very small family so I invited everybody, but we did have to do some cuts on his side, his family are like rabbits.

Re: anyone else not...
hehehe... yea if we were getting married at the place we would not be doing just ceremony invites but since we are having the church we can easily do it! were inviting 185 people as of know 115 are FH family.. thats why im cutting down on my side where i know i can. i was no invited to most of my 1st cousins weddings cuz i was very young. so im doing the same thing they did 10 years ago

Re: anyone else not...
Both my FH and I have little kids in our immediate families. I am having 2 RB's and 1 FG and a jr usher and Jr bridesmaid. If it wasn't our immediate family I wouldn't have it but we are really close to our nieces and nephews. It just depends on the person.

I'm not having one. And if I could have it my way, I wouldn't have kids at the wedding period, IMO.

I am having my niece and nephew for the flower girl and ring bearer.
If you're not having one or both, it's not a big deal. A flower girl/ring bearer isn't necessary to have.
