Anyone else not having a honeymoon, or am I the only one?

Anyone?

I am not that upset about it...but people are looking at me like I have 5 heads when I say that we aren't going on one...right away (I am going to be starting clinical practicum in grad school and it's just not a good time). We may go away after I graduate w/ my masters.

Im not!! I am a little sad about it but it was actually my choice. We have a son and I dont think I can leave him for even a day let alone 5 days or a week.

Plus we are saving for a house and every little bit counts.

That's the thing...I would rather save the money and put it to a house or something too. We may go on a short cruise or something if we can get a good deal the following year. That is something we both really want to do (the cruise...never been on one).

yeah everyone has been suggesting them to us also. I have never been but my fh has a million times. I really wanted to go to secrets excellence punta cana. Even with a really nice room was still less then 4k and thats all inclusive

Ahhh now you guys are making me feel all guilty.....we cant afford one either but my mom is charging it for us and we are paying her back with gift $$$. Dam n we should be saving too!

That's very sweet of your mom to do that. Don't feel guilty ...enjoy! Parents are a blessing...FH and I are just so financially far off from a house right now that we can't do it. It's just not possible. Not until I am fully working.

Dont feel bad Joes has been saying for weeks that we should just wait a week or 2 till after the wedding and use some of the gifts to go. Its more the baby then anything

eta. This is a once in a lifetime trip. No regrets!!!! you deserve to have a wonderful time!!

Thanks guys - you are both so sweet. We are struggling too and we will never be able to afford a house for at least 5 years......but hopefully you both get to go somewhere nice soon after the wedding like you both deserve!!!

Soontobe - why dont you go to Disney or somewhere kid friendly and take the baby since you cant bear to leave him???

Well since hes still pretty young I think it would be a waste.. he wouldnt really appreciate it or remember it. We plan on going in a few years when we can get our 'moneys worth' with him

You would never believe this but when I went to Disney when I was 3 I pulled down Goofy's pants!!!!
