I feel the people I care about know the date, and since we havent secured the invite list yet, I am not keen on sending it out and then not following thru with an invite!!!

we aren't for the same reasons. we made a wedding website with the date big and bold and emailed it to our family and friends. ~lacey

I was not going to do them, but decided to send some out because I am in California and I don't have the opportunity to see and remind people. We only sent them out to close friends, family and OOT guests

We didn't!
I knew I wanted invites that were expensive so I justified it by saving on STDs. I didn't get them.

I'm not doing them. If you want to remind the people that are really close to you in writing why don't you include the information as part of your holiday cards. I'm doing that. It will save you lots of time and postage.

I'm not either. I can save some money that way to use toward something else. My family and friends already know about it by word of mouth. We have a wedding website also.

No save the dates, but everyone pretty much knows when it is. We don't have many OOT, so thats not a worry.

Ours are completely designed, but haven't been ordered b/c FH's computer had a meltdown and he hasn't yet recreated his guest list.
I won't mention the fact that he promised it would be done the Friday before Thanksgiving, and then again promised to do it the Friday after Thanksgiving b/c he didn't have to work that day.

We're not for the same reasons - plus it is another expense that I just wanted to eliminate (plus I am hoping that w/o STD we will up our No responses since we really want to stay close to our min).
