We are definitely paying for everything on our own...although my Mom wants to buy my gown and undergarment....So I may let her do that, cause I know it will make her feel better...![]()

Hubby and I did it all on our own, we preferred it that way, b/c no one could say, yea or nay about what we had planned.

We did too although my mom did buy my wedding gown and my dad paid for the bagpipers which played from the nypd which was so sweet. It makes you proud though when you do...and I agree with shamma..no one truly had a say in anything..it was all us..which was the best part! ![]()

I thought we were paying for it all, so that, as my FH says 'nobody can tell us what they want if we're paying for it.' But I just found out definately that my FIL's are paying for the 'traditional things the grooms parents pay for' florist, limos and rehersal dinner. Which really stinks since we are probably using a florist and limo company that my uncle knows so we're getting a break. I'd rather they just give us a gift as we told my parents to do. (Unless we really get strapped).

we are paying the whole way too - anyone get depressed about spending all that money sometimes?? i am sure it will be worth it but all that hard work and saving and it just keeps coming!!
