I love some of the comments I get when people ask me what color my BM's are wearing and I say black. It's ridiculous that people think 'black' omg what IS she thinking lol. I'm happy with my color choices and my BM's are so happy with the colors!
Anyone else have black BM dresses...lemme see!
As long as when my BM's try them on within the next 2 weeks they look good then this will be the dress. My MOH get's to choose between 2 dresses though, whichever she likes on her better! My 6 year old cousin is going to look ADORABLE in this dress!!!!

I'm using black. It was my first and only choice! Haven't decided what color flowers my girls will carry yet. Everything so far is black and white so I might have them carry white callas.....but a small dash of color could be nice and the only 'color' I really like is purple.....so we'll see. Here's my BM dresses. I LOVE them.

I love black from Bridesmaids. FH wanted a color so we are doing Chocolate Brown (we think). But who cares what others think!

my father wants my sister and my MOH to wear black dresses b/c he thinks it will look sharp. i didn't agree at first but i agree with him now. but i got vetoed b/c it's a july wedding, they don't want to wear black so we're sticking with some shade of purple i think
I had black BM dresses in July it they looked GREAT!! Its your wedding, do what you want!! I heard a few comments at first, but in the end it looked amazing!! All my flowers were really bright, they really popped against the black gowns!

i have lots of italians in my family... including my Dad... and so far nobody's got a problem... LOL maybe theyre just all afraid to tell me their opinions because they know i would go ape on their arses.

I'm not even a hair italian, but I think I remember Tilde saying something about this when someone mentioned MOB dresses maybe...... Something about only wearing black during mourning so no one wears black to weddings, or maybe just the family doesn't wear black?? I can't remember exactly..... Maybe Tilde is on right now and can clarify.
ETA: I knew I wasn't crazy. I found the post, but it's about FMIL's not wearing black because it would mean they are mourning the loss of the their son at the wedding....not BMs not wearing black...I knew I was partly remembering correctly....
