I'm oober excited about the wedding..but now that it's been over a year of engagement...I find myself constantly browsing MLSLI and dreaming of putting $ towards a mortgage as opposed towards vendors...
I think I'm at the point where I just want to start our life together already..Am I the only one experiencing this?

yes!!!!!! i've been engaged for a year and a half!! i just want this to be over already and be able to start our lives together..we are going into contract for a house..and honestly every penny im putting towards the wedding ..i wish i was putting towards the mortgage instead..i sometimes regret some of my wedding choices I made

thats funny, i was just thinking that today. i'm tired of planning. tired of hearing the little snide remarks. really feel myself on edge lately
also, i would have luv to put the money towards a house. Luckily we are having a small wedding so its not too bad.

i have been done for some time but i keep going like its taken over my entire life and when its said and done- i can move on to doing freelance design again

I really love being engaged & all of the planning (I've only been engaged since Feb)... but I can't wait for our wedding day (well, actually the few days before to really enjoy the whole experience - LOL) ! However, I am totally ready to be a MRS and to live with FH (since we won't until the wedding!!!) I know these last few months are going to FLY BY though.....

i definitely feel the same way. i have been engaged a year and 2 months already and just cant wait until the day of my wedding. i feel this way for several reasons though
1. just dont want to plan anymore i am such a procrastinator and i get tired of everyone elses remarks and comments and adivce about the wedding planning process 2. i want fh to be home for good and out of the marines 3. i want to be living with fh i cant wait till that happens 4. i want to just start my life with him already

I totally agree with you. I am having a great time planning and watching all the pieces come together. I am going to be so sad when it's all over.

I do the same thing...at this point i just want the wedding to come over, i am excited about the wedding just not excited about the planning i have left to do until the wedding hahaha.
But even fh says he's looking forward to getting a place together and getting to that process, i think after over a year of engagement its normal to feel like this

AMEN!!! Totally agree.
Then again if it were truly up to me, we woulda been married a LONG time ago. I never wanted the wedding or a long engagement...while it hasn't been too long, I am just having a hard time dealing with all the pressure since I am a total procrastinator with a capitol P!!!! Since we already live together we already feel like an old married couple much of the time.
I admit, i've enjoyed being engaged but I really truly want to be done with this so I can enjoy the next phase of our lives together.

I feel the same - we've been together for over 9 yrs, engaged for less than a year, but what I'm really looking forward to is starting life together once he graduates in may and will be living here full time instead of weekends... I want to see his career take off, and mine too - buy a car, start saving for a home, all that good stuff..... I'm excited about the wedding but some of the novelty has worn off, so at this point I'm ready for it.
