i do! unfortunately, though, I work in retail.....and while I normally work in the corporate office- I have to work in the store for a little bit today- I am so not looking forward to that!

Every November 25th I participate in Buy Nothing Day, where for 24 hours I purchase nothing. People all over the world participate. It's through the Culture Jammers group which I'm a part of. It's mostly anti-consumerism group, dealing with the fact that 'big business' actually has more impact on our everyday lives than politicans.We are ruled by Nike, Starbucks, Macdonalds, the Gap,and other gigantic corporations telling us who we need to be or wear!!! So this is one small thing that I can do to show the corporate side of America that I can't be bought. Don't believe the hype. For more info Fm me or check out the web site

i just got back from kohls it wasn't 2 bad. the line for best buy was outside. it was crazy how many people were waiting on line outside

FH just said to me there's no way we're going near a mall today...all the fights over parking and pushing inside and chaos, just not worth it.
We're cleaning up today, I'm doing report cards & our STD's and he's painting our bathroom.

Sorry, I was at Best Buy at 4:45 am today, and I got some great deals! I love shopping the day after Thanksgiving. It's like a hunt...you have to be fast or all the good stuff is gone before you know it! My dad and I go every year...it's tradition
ETA: I lucked out this year and all the things I bought had separate lines. So I really spent no time waiting in lines like I usually do.

I Never ever go shopping on black friday. I don't even see the deals people claim they get. Walmart will have a tv for $100 but it is from some whothehell brand.
Please I will buy my sony tv on sale another day and get a good deal on quality merchandise and not have to step over people to get it.

DH and I went out this morning and got some great buys. We really saved a ton of money, all the items were good name brands (Maxtor hard drive, Stanley tools, etc.) and the lines weren't bad if you got there when the stores opened. We have nearly our entire holiday shopping list finished.
