Anyone else second guessing themself?

I am second guessing everything (except the groom)! My BM dresses, even my wedding dress. I actually went to to ebay to see the Diamond bride dresses with the intention of buying one. I don't knwo what time in the evening to have the ceremony, I can't pick out invitations. What is wrong with me???

Yes. I do have more time than you but its like I like things so I pick them just to get it over with. I dont LOVE anything so far....its sad. I cant imagine making any final decisions.

I second guessed EVERYTHING except the dress when we were getting married...there is so much pressure for everything to be perfect...hang in there though..what you are going through is completely normal..and completely STRESSFUL!!!

I think it's natural. I LOVE my dress, but in a moment of bridal insanity, I started to second guess myself and almost purchased another one. Fight the urge to second guess!!!

thats so true! always trust your gut ( first) instinct. I met with our DJ... the first dj I had been to ( and I actually went by accident when I was going to look at silverfox) and KNEW i wanted them for my wedding. But being a bride on a budget I was determined to shop around .. I visited a bunch of other dj's... most wayyyyyyy out on LI ( we are from queens) and wasted so much time and gas and energy looking at other people.. when in the end I booked the first DJ

* eta - im not saying not to shop around or look for a better deal its just that deep down I KNEW I was going to book them and that they were the right choice for us.

I know how you feel.... I've second guessed almost everything... FH gets so frustrated with me b/c he says I can't make a decision... you feel like everything is riding on every little choice you make... like even the color of the linens!!! After a while though, I've noticed that the stuff I was second guessing just fades and I am more comfortable with my choices and I start to feel like everything is not a 'be-all and end-all' decision....

of course, that mostly applies to the stuff I've ALREADY decided

Right now I am second guessing my dress!!!

SO NORMAL!! I did that. I did it w/ my dress even though I knew deep down it was THE dress. My invitations I was about to order & decided I hated them Then someone on here posted a photo of hers & I fell in love w/ the style. I ended up using the same invitation company.

What type of invites are you looking for? Any particular style/color/theme? MAybe we can help!!

I am so type A and I second guess everything! I think it is natural, esp. when you want everything to be absolutely perfect. There is always the lingering suspicion that there might be something better--a better dress, or honeymoon...Can't beat yourself up about it! Everything will be great.

OH MAN...I ALWAYS ALWAYS second-guess everything! I actually second-guessed my dress choice and felt so badly that I tried everything I could to cancel the order, but it was too late....
but the thing is, I love it one day, then hate it the next, then someone says 'your dress is so pretty!' and then I love it again......
Right now I love it! lolol

I second guessed everything from the hall, to the photographer....but, I stuck with everything that I intially booked and it all turned out great. I think it's normal. If you can...take a break from the wedding stuff for a week or so, then come back with a clear head.

Well, I go through my moods too, I think everyone does.

I usually go with my gut feeling, When I saw pictures, just a simple one in a magazine of the Swan Club, I just knew that's were I wanted to have my reception.

Same thing with the photographer, florist and makeup person.

Trust your gut instincts, they are usually right on the money..

Anyhoo, thats my two cents...and if they didn't help..

I'm sending you lots of

Re: Anyone else second guessing themself?

I second guess EVERYTHING.

I have changed the color of the BM dresses after 4 out of 5 BMs got measured and left deposits.

I changed my tiara 7 months after I ordered it.

I reordered my invitations 3 months after I received my full order to change the wording and the response date.

If I could have changed my dress, I probably would have. This week I'm thinking of changing the cake that I chose last week.

I bought my shoes and had them dyed, but I'm still looking for another pair.

Believe me, I know what you're going through!!!

Re: Anyone else second guessing themself?

Not only do I second guess .. I third, fourth and fifth guess myself CONSTANTLY!! LOL!

I hit a point just last week that I wish the wedding were tomorrow -- mainly so I could just stop thinking about everything all the time!! Its become all I think about, and sometimes I just really want my nice simple life back with FH!

I haven't seen my dress in so long that I'm convinced I'm going to hate it when I try it on .. or that I'm going to hate the tiara that I picked to go with it. And I keep changing my mind what jewlery to wear with it, if anything.

I cannot get my flowers straight .. I've already changed my bo-k 4 times! Dont even get me started about CPs!

Always changing my ideas about favors .. the minute I think I've settled on one, I freak out and look for somethign else.

Cannot get the BM's gifts and RB/FG gifts settled..

And those are only the ones I can think of RIGHT now! There are 100 more things I double guess EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Re: Anyone else second guessing themself?

a few things, here and there...

but given our parameters, i think in the end we will have made the right decisions given what we do and do not know. i'm not going to drive myself crazy, it's not worth it. i get frustrated at times, but it passes...

Def. the dress...and I refused to pick anything else if I don't fall in love with it. I just ordered my invitations...and I love it..

I am going to take my time now with the veil and headpiece.

I just got off the phone with my GOD mother...and I could not decide if I want to make the Ceremony start at 3pm and the ceremony wedding time start at 6:30. Right, now I am just going with the flow. But, I know how you feel!!!!

I am beggining to think, it is normal.

I AM THE QUEEN OF INDECISION!!!! I have second guessed everything but my hall and the groom. We are getting new favors, I have tortured and changed dresses on my BM's 100 times, second guessed and rebooked photographer, changed the wedding date, kicked a GM out of the party, the list goes on nad on. I keep getting all of these ideas and I keep trying to make everything perfect and I am driving myself and all around me nuts!!!!
