I am sending my invites the beginning of August. My mother looked on her 'etiquette site' and they said both the shower and wedding invites can go out at the same time.
I don't know about before tho

I don't know when my shower is. My wedding invites went out March 1. Shower invites I heard, went out 2 weeeks later.

I am trying to get someone to slip, I don't want it to be a surprise! But I'm sure the showers invites are not yet out, they are cutting it close!

My shower was done after I sent the invites out.

my shower was march 2nd and MOH sent out almost 2 months ahead of time so the invites for the shower definitely went out first. But if you have a shower closer to the wedding then yeah its normal for this to happen

No, I sent mine out last week and had my shower this past weekend. I dunno how early the shower invites must have gone out but they obviously were before my wedding invites.

we are sending my shower invites in aug (b.c my shower will be in sept) and we are sending the wedding invites out in sept.
