anyone else stuck in the city?

LIRR has suspended ALL TRAINS in BOTH directions!!! I have no idea how FH and I are getting home tonight!!!

ahhh I do NOT miss this about the LIRR. Their service get's suspended everytime there's a rain or snowstorm.

I used to HATE spending over $200 for monthly pass with such shoddy service!!!

my friend just told me they're going to manhasset and getting a ride. hmmm.

geez, you;re screwed driving in, taking the train...no one can win huh?

yep

All Long Island Rail Road service except for the Port Washington line remains suspended Monday afternoon due to a fire in the switching tower near the Jamaica station, according to the agency.

I heart the port washington line!! I lived in Bayside and took the train to H.S in the city everyday and RAREEELY had a problem. I've also noticed that they are the first to get their trains moving after suspension.

THe oyster bay line is the one I have to take to my parents and it is HORRID!!!

as soon as this month is over, i'm switching to the express bus. i can't take the LIRR anymore.

I lived right off bell blvd literally 5 mins walking distance from the basyide LiRR stop. Lived in bayside for 13 years (two different houses) and I loved it there!

I was there a few weeks ago though and Bell BLvd changed sooo much!!! It made me kinda sad not to see some of the old, old stores that used to be there!

that's what my brother takes now when he visits our parents. He refuses to take the Lirr too

i live on corporal kennedy and 42nd. it's like one block from bell and the railroad stop.

i love bayside too.
