Anyone else suffering from the WORST sinus problems?

This is the ONE thing that's really been annoying. I've had sinus problems all my life (chronic sinusitis and a deviated septum), but since I've been PG my nose is constantly clogged. I'm literally going through a box of tissues a week and my dr says this won't get better! I even went to my ENT Dr and he agreed that there's something with the hormones during PG that thicken the lining of sinuses?

Every night I sleep with a humidifier, it helps with some of the pressure but it's still so annoying! It's like a constant cold 24/7

Anyone else suffering through this as well?

Yes! I heard its normal for the first trimester and even the second
I always feel stuffy and have headaches
my chiropractor told me its the pregnancy and its common

Its normal in the third trimester too. I still have it.

yeah, I was told it wouldn't go away til after the baby arrives!

I have it too, I called the dr. and they said take sudafed. It actually helped.

im not preggo- but I have chronic sinusitus and have ben suffering for 3 months now. I ahve been on three antibiotics and amd going on steriod treament tommorrow. I dont no how I will do when Im presggo, I dont think I could take all the meds I am taking now

Hi Teri, get yourself some saline nose drops. you can use them as often as you want to. there is no medicine in them- just saline and it helps A LOT. I used it throughout my pregnancy. They are super cheap too.

Not only did I always feel 'stuffed up', but I would get bloddy noses a lot. They seemed to have subsided alittle, knock on wood.

I had sinus problems the entire pregnancy and had sinusitis once

There were some antibiotics I was allowed to take

I have been stuffed/clogged you name it for a while now. It started in the middle of the my 2nd trimester and is still going strong in the 3rd. I too use a cool mist humidifier, saline drops, breathe right strips and a few boxes of tissues a week. I hate it, it's the worst for me at night and in the morning (wake up from not being able to breathe). I went to the dr. yesterday and voiced my concern again, she said she could prescribe medicine for me, but I turned it down. She did say it will go away after the baby is born. It is common for the thickening and blood vessels to swell/pop. Yep, have tons of bloody noises too. Everytime I sneeze and blow it's blood (TMI )
I've come to accept it and just wait it out... It will eventually go away...

I did have a few nose bleeds but that stopped after I started using the humidifier.

I have the saline spray but sometimes that just makes my allergies go crazy - I can't win!

I do take Sudafed from time to time but I don't want to overdo it and take too much. I'm just PRAYING I don't get another head cold - that, in addition to this to begin with, is terrible!!!
