Anyone else tired of anwsering 'Where are you gonna live after you get married- are you going to buy or rent'?
It's so annoying. I wish I had the nerve to say none of your business... instead I am like we're not sure. I feel like they are asking out of just being darn nosey. Ughhh!!! Then I get the people who say.. Oh don't rent.. it's a waste. Ummm have any idea how much houses cost today???

i hear ya. fh and i are going to graduate medical school in may, so we ALWAYS get the same line of questioning:
so do you know what you want to specialize in? where do you want to go for residency? are you going to buy a HOUSE there? where do you want to end up? how are you going to have KIDS as a doctor?
UM........I DON'T KNOW!!
i mean, i know people mean well and all, but it just stresses me out when i can't answer all of these basic questions about my life right now...

OH MY GOD YES!!!! I thought I was the only one getting aggravated by this!!!
All I hear is that 'renting is throwing away money' but until money starts falling out of my heinie, I dont really have an choice!!!

very frustrating..... we actually knew we werent going to rent, but we werent sure what town we would end up in... we had a couple of preferences, but for a while there was nothing in that price range....... luckily we found a house in one of our initial towns, so we are very excited now..

very frustrating!
Especially when I tell people I will rent, and they tell me I should of saved money for a downpayement of a house instead of a wedding!!!!! How Rude!!!

Yes! Fh's uncle said, 'so did you start looking for a place to live yet' ( FH lived with parents at the time)
he started to say no. . .not yet. . . ( because we are considering moving a few months after the wedding)
& I was annoyed & just interjected, 'We have a place to live. My apartment.'
I feel likr because they haven't been here, and because I lived here before they knew me too well & they didn't have anything to do with my choice, and I guess it is considered mine & not ours, it seems unacceptable to his family.
Ok, we do need more closet space, but it IS a home!

people ask us if we found a place yet... I guess that covers renting or buying a house... FH and I have an apartment lines up BUT we have been giving serious thought to a house... we are moving upstate so things are cheaper... we could never afford a home on LI right now...

1) When the hell are you getting engaged? 2) OK, so when is the wedding date? 3) Are you going to buy a home? 4) When are you going to start having kids?

UGH!!! How annoying! I constantly get that. I start grad school next year and FH is starting a new job as well. I can't answer that question yet because honestly, I DON'T KNOW. I haven't applied to grad schools yet...I'm already supposed to know where I am getting in?! The renting issue w/ the cost of wedding also comes up. I honestly wish some poeple would mind their own business!!!
