Anyone else totally paranoid?

Anyone else totally paranoid?

So, last Friday since the weather was so nice, I wore my totally adorable cork-bottom wedges to work. Very cute. BUT! I slipped in them two different times (just walking in a straight line down the hallway, once in the morning and once in the afternoon) and almost twisted my ankle. Really, one of the times when I stumbled, i had to contort my body into a weird position and slammed my upper half into a doorway and have a nasty bruise from it.

But here's the thing - it occurred to me that should I (heaven forbid!) break an ankle, etc., I'd have a cast for my wedding. And now - I'm totally paranoid. Like, when I walk down the street, I walk with my head down so I can see any cracks. I'm not wearing heels anymore, like, ever. Apparently wedges are out too.

Some of you must be paranoid about this too, right? Or am I just crazy?

OMG this is one of my BIGGEST fears! I wore heels the other day, and all I could think about was cracking my ankle and being in a cast for my wedding. Not that it made me turn around and change my shoes, of course...

You're the one who posted about falling while running downhill, right? OMG, that's my nightmare - I've started jogging outside too, a few times a week. And I read your story and was like, 'that's it, now I'm sticking to the treadmill.' Hope you're feeling better.

Just so you know - I do have a little reason to worry. I'm a total klutz and just this November I tripped and fell and broke a bone in my hand, and was in a cast for a month and a half. I'm so terrified of something like that happening again because it JUST HAPPENED.

OMG, now you got me nervous. I didn't even think of that and I'm a total klutz. Like Sat, I was at my mom's house playing with the puppy and she went to jump on me and I was wearing heals, and I fell backwards right into a potted plant. At least the dirt was soft on my butt, and FH had a great laugh, but that's me on a regular basis.

OMG, too funny that you posted this. Since i [badly] sprained my ankle in January, it's still not 100%. Friday night i was walking around the village waiting for fh and I was wearing my wedge shoes. they were hurting my feet a LOT so I bought flip flops with a wedge (which just ended up hurting different parts of my feet). I was walking and my bad foot totally went sideways and HURT and I freaked out.

I look at the ground whenever I walk outside because NY streets are so messed up - hole in the street was how I sprained it in the first place.
So I totally hear you!

unfortunately this is my reality

i was very paranoid about it too which is the funny thing, so can't believe this happened. Even now thinking of my bachelorette party this weekend and having to be so careful is annoying

I am totally paranoid about stuff like that. When I was dress shopping I had a huge bruise on my tricep and another just below by elbow...the worst part is I have no idea how I got them. My MOH jokes that she will have to put me in a buvvle like a month before my wedding so I have no random bruises.....

yeah they always say to stay off it as much as possible but how are you supposed to do that when you have a job!

maybe you'll be able to relax and lay off it in vegas, at least during the day!

I cut my hands all the time on everything. I told FH yesterday I'm going to have to wear leather gloves before the wedding so I don't have gashes and scratches everywhere.

yeah the cast is actually bothering me more lol, its very uncomfortable and i walk better without it but problem is that with the cast at least it prevents me moving my foot in a way i shouldn't so either way i am screwed hahahaha.

YEAH too bad i couldnt take off of work for how long i really needed to
