Anyone else trying to lose 20lbs or more before

the wedding? I am trying to lose 30 before my fittings start in May and I am starting to feel a little frustrated. I only lost a 1/2 lb this week. I feel like I am denying myself yet it isn't coming off fast enough. I just need to vent. Thanks!

I lost 19 lbs. before my wedding. I worked out 5 X's a week, 2 hrs. a day and went on the Zone diet. Since my wedding, I have lost another 6 or 7 lbs.

Is that you in your pic? Where do you need to lose the 20lbs?!

Anyway, I found that WW really worked for me. Quite honestly you do not look like you need to lose that much weight (if that's you), that could be why it's coming off so slow

Me too.

Just keep believing in yourself - you'll do it!

The slower it comes off, the better your chances of it staying off. Be patient. It took me 3 months to lose 20 pouds. I'm having a little trouble losing more and it is frustrating-- I still have about 100 I want to lose. Not just for the wedding, but for me. When the doctor told me I may not live to see 40, it kind of scared the pants off me!!!

IMO, I will be a beautiful bride whether I am size 24 or 16. I want to be able to live long enough to enjoy being an old married woman!!! I want to be able to run after my future kids and not get all winded.

So don't stress how slow it comes off. Just feel good in knowing that you are doing something good for yourself, so you will be healthier and be able to enjoy life to the fullest.

I also want to lose 20lbs, but I'm going to wait till after the holidays. I think it's hard for anyone to resist the great dinners and parties coming our way. I'll just start Jan. 2, to be on the safe side. I plan on doing WW.

I would also like to lose abuot 20 pounds before the wedding. I joined WW about 6 weeks ago and have lost 9.2 punds so far. It has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I just need to get my butt to the gym. I haven't been there in about 6 months.

Hi there....
I just read all of your postings regarding weight loss. I noticed some of you had questions regarding the regimine I went by to lose the weight I did before the wedding.

First, we'll start with the Zone diet.
The Zone Diet is an eating plan designed to balance out the ratio of carbs to fats to proteins. In doing this, you keep your glucose levels in the Zone' which helps you metabolize your foof better, feel more energy, and more satisfied throughout the day.
There are books regarding the Zone.
I did the Zone Gourmet delivery system. It just made things easier. They deliver a cooler bag filled with your meals for the day. That's what you eat and when it's done, it's done.

It did help and I never had to cook, but it can be pricey. ($35 a day). There are other places, like Jenny Craig that do it fopr $15 a day. I also hear WW is a great alternative.

Exercise, Exercise, Exercise....
The easiest way to lose weight is to burn more than you take in. You just need to get motivated and stay committed.
I worked out for two hours a day, five days a week. I also had a trainer who taught me how to weight train. This was all very helpful and you saw a total change in my shape. For before and after photos, go to www.discovery.com Click on Discover Health. Then Buff Brides. Then meet the brides. And I am Alison at the top of the page.
Good luck. It's hard work, but well worth it!!!

Re: Anyone else trying to lose 20lbs or more before

I wanted to lose 60 pounds before my wedding, so I started back in July. I have lost 41 so far and only have 19 to go. I wanted to start right away and not put it off because I want to be able to maintain this forever, not just for my wedding. I am trying to stay motivated during the holiday season and not go crazy, and it's good to remember that it's ok to enjoy eating, but it's not ok to for me to not think about what goes into my mouth. That's when I get in trouble, when I start eating just because. Ok, just needed to get that off my chest! Good luck to everyone! We can ALL do it!

you are doing fine...especially with the holidays....

you have 30+ weeks...so you could realistically (read: healthy) lose 30-60 pounds!!!!

don't stress about it...get some graph paper and chart your weight loss on it (make every square 1/2 pound if you can) and you will feel good when you see it go down!!!!
