We finally went last night and ordered our wedding bands (woo hoo!!!) and as I was trying mine on, I put it on my finger first and then my engagement ring, and then I switched and put my engagement ring on first and then the band. I know it's backwards but I really like the way it looks having the engagement ring on first, so I'm going to wear it backwards. Anyone else going against tradition with this?

I never thought to switch them...I think that I am going to wear it the traditional way.
If you like it the other way then go for it!

i think i am going to wear it the traditional way but i don't see anything wrong with the way you want it besides some people wear their band on one hand and the ering on the other i don't think there is any wrong way to wear it

Actually, I always thought that the went on the inside. My mother wears it that way. I had never heard that you wear your wedding band on the inside 'closer to your heart.'
The owner of the local jewelry store (female) commented that 'you wear the more expensive one on the inside'
I think you should wear it the way that you want to. There's really no 'right' way. JMO

I crack my knuckles (i know-bad) so they are larger than my finger. My e-ring is always a little loose.. Some days (cold ones) it's REALLY lose. My wedding band is just a hair larger so it HAS to go in the inside. Im terrified it would fall off if I didnt.

I always thought the backwards way was teh right way, b/c that's the order yu got them in. I may keep it that way, I'll see how it looks/feels.

my rings look better the backwards way. thats how i'll wear them.
also, my ering is a little looser than my wedding ring, so id feel safer with the ering inside.

I thought that too...I will porb wear it that way, but I don't have my ring yet and one I tried on didn't fit so I couldn't really play around with it...
