I do...lately I'm really hating all my choices.

When we first started planning- I saw all the fall themed wedding stuff here on LIW and fell in love- so I started planning with that theme in mind- a more rustic RH (which I settled on- still don't love it), fall colored flowers, leaf cookie cutter place card holders (my mom made all of them by christmas), a fall themed photo album favor. . .and brown BM dresses.

Now here I am, almost 2 months to the wedding and I am so unhappy with everything.

I wish I would've picked brighter colors (specifically peacock blue and emerald green- my three blonde BMs in the blue, and the 3 brunettes in the green) and brightly colored wild flowers.

And I wish I would've insisted on having the reception where I liked...

Oh well, too late now


I'm sure it will be beautiful anyway

It WILL be beautiful and I think that once you see everything all together on your wedding day you will be so happy with everything! There are SOOOO many beautiful colors and things out there that its all too easy to doubt the choices we've made - but remember that you chose what you did for a reason and everything always works out so try not to focus on the stuff you didn't choose ... if we all did that, we'd go nuts!

one is never happy with what they have.


i am happy with my beach theme and periwinkle blue, just wish i chose another dress.

I'm in the same boat. I did all Fall stuff and know I wish I had done everything in crystals and shimmery fabrics. Too late to change now.

sometimes I do want to start over only because everything is costing so much $$$$
Once your theme is all put together it is going to be beautiful and you shouldn't regret it! I always love fall theme wedding! And my BM are in dark brown too! I think it's such a rich, classy color!

i have to say this--i had some of the same feelings. and i've said it before, and i'll say it again, this site can both HELP and HURT your wedding. cause too often we are on here and we look at 100 different weddings and it causes us to feel like we have ideas that are not as good or we start to wish we had what other ppl are doing.

for awhile i was convinced that my wedding would NOT be as great, because i planned too early and wanted to change some ideas, and saw 'better' ones on here. but when the day of the wedding came--i realized i was so wrong and we had the greatest day EVER!

you WILL have a beautiful wedding and everything will be great!

i have to say this--i had some of the same feelings. and i've said it before, and i'll say it again, this site can both HELP and HURT your wedding. cause too often we are on here and we look at 100 different weddings and it causes us to feel like we have ideas that are not as good or we start to wish we had what other ppl are doing.

See mine is opposite I saw the theme on here- but I've never seen a wedding with the colors I want now...lol. If I had never found LIW I would've just gone with my favorite color combination (blue and green-lol...def. not BROWN!!)

Good thing my sister is getting married soon- I can live vicariously through her- with none of the stress!

I go through the same, except I wanted the rustic wedding. I never thought I'd have it in a grand ballroom. I wanted to do a cool, unique barn wedding or a vineyard wedding.
But now I've fallen in love with some of the details we're doing for our wedding and realize they wouldn't fit in the old vision.
Don't worry, it will be beautiful and you will LOVE your day. And really, when's it all said and done, most of your guests won't remember where you had it or the details, they'll just remember the love you guys have for each other!

ETA: I have brown bridesmaids dresses. I think they look gorgeous. I'm sure your BMs will be gorgeous, too. My BMs were so happy to wear brown.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way, but at the end of the day it's going to be wonderful, and you probably won't even think about all these details. You'll be so wrapped up in the important things like FH, your family and friends.

That being said, I completely feel your pain. I feel like this thing has gotten so out of control and so far away from what I wanted. I made too many 'little' compromises that have now majorly changed my original plan. But you know what, none of those other things matter - all the extra details, guests, etc ... are just that, extras - and they're great and add to the day, but what's important is that I'm getting married to the man I love and will be surrounded by people I love (granted, in addition to a ton of people I don't know - but that's another story ). At least this is what I tell myself when I start getting anxious.

Why can't you change some things? You can change your flowers, can't you? Talk to your florist. And although the BM's dresses are ordered, can you get brightly colored sashes for them? Or wraps? Or parasols! I don't know what else you've chosen, but I'm sure you can punch up the color. For the tables, how about menus on emerald green paper? Or colored napkins? The leaf place card holders are done, but what about the cards themselves? Can you do them in a brighter color? Maybe an ecru card with emerald green lettering? It would look amazing! Remember, green is still a fall color.

You still have a lot of time, it's not as if your wedding is in a week. Look at what you've chosen, and see what hasn't been actually done or ordered yet, and what can be changed.

There were some things that I wished I could have changed...like my color scheme, but honestly, once the day comes, you don't evennotice those things. I still can't believe how many little details I stressed about and payed attention to that no one probably even really noticed or remembers.
That day, it ends up being about all of the people you are celebrating with, and your FH/DH. Trust me when I say it is not worth stressing over. No matter where you are and no matter what color your BM dresses are, it will be an amazing day that you will remember forever!

Don't start over and don't want to. I think everyone second guesses EVERYTHING when their wedding gets close. There are so many ideas floating around on here, it's easy to say 'I wish I had done that instead...'

But the bottom line is that these little details are NOT what matter and are NOT what you are going to remember about the day. You'll remember what you felt and that you married the man you love... and that's all that matters.

Try not to sweat the small stuff, but definitely vent here when you want to!

YES defintiely. I've learned so much throughout the planning and many decisions I made I now regret. But I don't dwell on it. I'm just going with it and seeing how everything will turn out.
Your wedding will be beautiful!!!! Don't worry about it!!!!!

I def would change some things. I am not crazy about my BM dresses, wish I would have stuck to them all wearing red and not black. It will still be very nice once it gets here. We all have these thoughts I think!!

I am so with you on this!! But I honestly think it comes down to the grass being greener on the other side. While I love the idea that we are having a bright, airy, more casual summer wedding, I secretly wish we were having a winter wedding, or fall wedding.

Try not to be too bummed out because I am sure everythign will turn out beautiful. And in 10 years it won't really matter what color BM dresses we had or what our favors were

Honestly, I'm pretty much happy with everything I have now. I originally wanted a pink & black color scheme, but FH really didn't like that idea & it is his day too. I'm perfectly happy with our red & white scheme. Red has always been my favorite color & FHs too. I have also waivered about my dress. I originally wanted something very plain & my dress definately isn't. I took it out today though because I wanted to see what it would look like with a pearl necklace & I fell in love all over again so problem solved.

I guess I have to say the only thing I really regret are the invites. I REALLY wanted pocketfolds, but I was worried about the $$$$ so we didn't go that route. Oh well.

I am happy with my choices but if I could go back, I would save money on certain vendors and add other things.

Your day will be beautiful, because that's the idea that you fell in love with from the start. Trust me once you see everything together, you'll change your mind and love it.

I started to feel that way a few weeks before the wedding-I didnt think I was going to like everything all together....but really once I saw it all complete I was completely happy with each and everything that I had picked.

Dont worry yourself-im sure once you see it complete you will be very happy

Try not to stress yourself out. There are days that I doubt every choice that FH & I have made and then there are days that I think that everything is perfect. I am guessing that it part of the pre-wedding jitters. One of my friends that is married told me not to sweat the small stuff, because what matters the most is that you are marrying the man that you love.
