Anyone else's friends think they are too wrapped up in the wedding?
My MOH just told me that 'my head is so far up my a$$' about the wedding, that I am oblivous about everything else.
I didn't think I was, but if she thinks I am I must be - I'm somewhat peeved...but trying to take it well

My friends are the ones that understand and sympathize, because they all went through it recently. It's my family members that don't get it.....I guess the further you are away from your wedding, the less you understand!

Friends don't say it, FH has said that before!
He hasn't said it in a while, but back when the Sniper was in the news, I had no idea about it!! He thought that was a little strange!

I know a couple of my friends think so, but mostly for selfish reasons. They want to hang out, go out to eat and shop, and I refuse to go with them. Why tease myself? I can't spend money and I'm on a diet.
I keep telling them, not much longer then I can hang again

I think any friend who says that is either (1) Single, never married so doesn't understand how much planning it takes. (2) Jealous. (3) Not a very good friend.

Hee hee - funny you should mention this...I was only the second of my good friends to get engaged so I really only talked about wedding stuff with my one married friend, because she was the ONLY one who asked about it. Then when my other friend got engaged, she started calling me every day to talk wedding stuff and she says to me 'How did you keep all this in (like floral arrangements and menu choices) and not talk about it all the time?' So now she understands. I think you have to go through it to realize how time-consuming and detail-oriented the process is!
My FH justs laughs at me and how much time I spend on this!

Actually...just yesterday I was walking up to a group of three co-workers and I KNOW they were talking about me because I heard the word wedding and then one girl saw me coming towards them and said shh..shh to the other girls. I've been having a lot of problems with my bridesmaids recently so I have been venting, but who doesn't vent? 2 of those co-workers are invited to the wedding, but I may have to put them on the B list.

Screw 'em. You only get married once, hon. And this is your time. Don't let them make you feel badly....

friends think the same way cause they've never been married... FH hasn't said anything. Planning a wedding is another full time job! sad but true! that's why I post on here... to find girls that actually want to talk about weddings!
good luck!

Re: Anyone else's friends think they are too wrapped up in the wedding?
My MOH (my sister) said that to me too a few weeks ago. She said 'all you do is talk about your wedding, blah blah blah' She was like 'it is getting annoying!' I was like 'sorry, didn't realize it was bothering you that much and I hadn't realized I was doing it so much'. I just purchased a new puppy on Sunday and will be bringing him home in 2 wks. He isn't quite ready to leave the mother yet. So since Sunday I have been talking a lot about the puppy, showing off his pic and going shopping for some puppy supplies. Well the first thing out of my sisters mouth was 'oh great, now all we have to hear about for the next two weeks is her dog...at least we will get a break from the wedding' I just think she get jelious and I don't care at this point. I am happy!

Re: Anyone else's friends think they are too wrapped up in the wedding?
I found out recently that the girl who sits next to me at work has been complaining to other people in the office that all I talk about is my wedding. However, I know that she is single and miserable, but hey, that's not my fault! I try not to let it bother me, but I don't want people around here to think that I'm blowing off work to do wedding stuff.

People tell me I do not talk baout it it enough! I did not want to be one of those people that are told I talk too much about the wedding, now that I do not talk enough about it, they yell at me to talk about it. I guess no one is ever happy no matter what. I say do what you like to do and if u want to talk about it do so. It is your wedding, one of the most important days of your life!!!

My FI and my family think so. My friends and my co-workers constantly ask ME what is going on with the wedding. But I am guessing that as it gets closer, that is all I will think about!

Re: Anyone else's friends think they are too wrapped up in the wedding?
My friends don't say that, they just don't understand why I booked everything so far in advance. They have been telling me since the first vendor that I booked, you better make sure that they don't go out of busines or you will have nothing. Also, they keep telling me don't you think that you are to early to do or to do that. I guess they don't understand that the good vendors get booked right away and also having everything done gives me more time to save. What makes me laugh is that they are all married and have been through this already so they should know why and how I am doing things a certain way.
