Anyone elses parents and FIL's have not met yet?

And trying to squeeze it in before their shower? If I only had a day off this would be possible. It has been three years that we have been together and they only live 40 minutes away from each other. And if I don't set it up soon, one of them will kill me

Perhaps set up a dinner at your place and cook for the both of them? Are either of the father's into baseball? Maybe you could have an opening day party?

FMIL came over once, but in 7 years they never got together. Im not pushing it, bc then i feel its akward for me and Jason - itll happen when it happens....they dont have much in common - so were taking the natural route

after 9 years, our parents finally met a few months ago. we meet at the hall and then went to lunch.

My parents haven't met FHs dad yet. I'm trying to keep it from happening for as long as possible. My dad is completely obnoxious and will say things that I know will start arguments

Ours haven't met yet either. I haven't met all of FH's family either.

my parents met FMIL once and never met FFIL (not even sure if they ever will). I have no idea how it will turn out for my shower

My parents havent met his dad, but they've met his mom several times.

I always think the same things, like oh my what will the conversations be like? my in-laws are the nicest people in the world, and my parents are awesome too, I know it will be fine, but yet I am still procrastinating. We had several attempts, but all did not work out. But I do have to do it within the month, I have promised both sides. I just work 2 jobs every day to pay for this wedding. I am glad I'm not the only one!

they havent met mostly becuase fh's parents live down south so it is hard i am hoping they will meet at my shower but unfortunately i dont think FMIL is going to make it therefore they will meet at either the RD if they make that or a day before the wedding my mom does speak to his mom a lot via email so that is good! my family has met one of his sisters though -

I want my mom to hand out name tags at my shower and put relationship next to the name ex. Jane Doe - Sister I don't know half the people coming to my shower

My parents have only met FFIL because he just happened to be over here from Australia when I graduated from Grad school. The first time they meet FMIL will be the night before the wedding.

luckily we dont have to do this lol we finally got them together lkast year when we had a tasting at the hall. we used that for their meeting.....it took 7 years to get them to meet.

Haha after nearly 10 years together they met this past december. It went a lot better than I expected - in fact they liked each other so much they requested to see each other the day after!

My parents and FIL haven't met nor have they ever spoken. They will get the chance in a few weeks when FH's deployment ends and we are all at his homecoming. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes well...
