Has anyone ever backed out on a vendor at the last minute? (for whatever reason) In my case there was no contract signed, but I was a day away from signing it. I feel bad about it doing that, but I am just curious about how many brides (besides me) have done this before. Thanks for any replies!

Re: Anyone ever..
If you didn't sign a contract, don't sweat it. We gave a guy a deposit and yanked it back at the last second...I felt like a heel, but it had to be done....

it's done far more often than you might think. Do what you feel is right to get the wedding you want to and don't feel bad about it!!

Don't feel bad. People do it all the time, sometimes after the contract is signed.

Until you sign that contract your not bound to them. dont worry about it. thats why they have you sign a contract and leave a deposit. dont fret

I'm thinking about doing it right now. I also haven't signed a contract but I have it in front of me. I'm just having second thoughts. I feel badly about it too, but I guess it's better to be confident in who you select than not to upset the vendor. It's going to be hard though!

If you havent signed a contract I wouldnt feel bad, if you are having second thoughts about the vendor...DONT go with them. This is YOUR day...chose who you feel comfortable with

Re: Anyone ever..
Thanks for all the responses. I am so paranoid about even posting which vendor I am using instead because I am afraid the vendor I backed out of will see it! (they are both vendors that advertise on this site). If anyone wants to know who I backed out of and why, feel free to FM me. Good luck with planning ladies!
this wasn't a wedding vendor...but DH and I backed out of a CAR...after we gave the deposit!!!
they were supposed to get us 0%, but DH's credit wasn't that good (so they wanted 6%)...and I already had a car loan...so they wouldn't give me the 0%...
you have 3 business days to back out of ANY contract!!
When I went to get our deposti back the guy tried to swindle me...b/c DH wasn't there...and I got ****ed off...
I paid off my old car loan...we went to another car dealer and got an upgraded version of the car for the same price and 0%!!!
