anyone ever been on a paul gauguin cruise?

its a line of small luxury cruises. i have been on a million cruises (well maybe 30) but never this line. heard it might be an older crowd and we are thinking about it for our honeymoon (not that old people would bother me a bit)---- just curious.

thanks girls!

all those reviews i read- if they mentioned their age it was 50+. not to mention one 50 year old woman reviewed that she was 'younger' of the bunch on the cruise. will i be the only honeymooner on the ship?

Lol yea I did see that it sounded like most people are older than 50. I saw one person wrote that there were a couple of honeymooners. I am hesitating because of that too, and it sounds like at night its a ghost ship.

yea nightlife in tahiti in general i heard is ehh---- my friend went on princess and didnt have much to say about the night life (but they def had honeymooners) and someone else i know said there wasent much on some of the smaller islands at night.

French Polynesia is def not known for it's nite life...whether on land or a cruise...u have to make ur own lol

My cousin went on the Paul gaugin for her honeymoon last summer and loved it...when I saw her pics it looked like there were a lot of older but some younger couples too.

i'm going to tahiti for my HM.. we considered the cruise, but it didn't work out with our timing.

I have heard it's an 'older crowd'... so we decided to just go all out with out hotels on the different islands :)

I'm booked on this cruise for my honeymoon! I've heard that there are usually less honeymooners than when staying on land and that the crowd can be a bit older. Honestly though FH and I don't really mingle too much on vacation so it doesn't bother us at all. The fact that all the food and drinks (including alcohol) were all included were major pluses for us. Food in French Polynesia can be very pricey. We have also heard that the service is amazing on the ship. Also, night life in all of Tahiti is pretty dead and the ship seems to have a little more going on at night than when staying on land. I'm pretty sure they have a nightly band for dancing and nightly entertainment.

FH and I are also doing a pre-cruise stay in a Luxury Overwater Bungalow at the Sofitel Moorea so that we have that experience as well.

My honeymoon is basically all planned and I'm leaving in less than 20 days for the honeymoon so if you have any other questions let me know!
