you should pick up one of the 'walking guides' (under the title Eyewitness Travel Guides) for ITaly. They are very helpful and have tons of maps and stuff. I always pick one up when I go abroad. And please do some shopping!!

SHOP! Enjoy the atmosphere in Venice. Sit and eat outside with a bottle of wine. go on a gondola ride. As for Milan and Florence...SHOP SHOP SHOP!! I am so jealous!

Also, in Venice you can take a speed boat to this little 'island' Murano. It is where they make all that beautiful glass. The boat docks at the factory that shows you how it is made. Then there are little stores in the village that sells rings, and candy dishes, and ornaments. Anything you can imagine. Ask your hotel, they will know what I am talking about. I got great gifts for my family there.

Here is a link that tells you a little about the island. I am telling you it is one of the cutest spots!
check out the museums and churches.....all are beautiful. I loved Florence the best.

I LOVE FLORENCE! it's absolutely beautiful! museums, churches, palaces, bridges, gardens! AHHHHHHH! I am so jealouse! make reservations to Ufficci gallery as soon as you get to Florence or even earlier, if you can, or youa re going to have to stand in line for 4+ hours! i am not kidding! Go to Bobolli gardens and Pitti palace! awsome gardens, great art collections in the palace! juat walking around this city is a cultural feast! it's gorgeouse!
Do a search for Italy on these boards, i wrote a review back in april when we came back from our honeymoon! it might be usefull! HAVE A GREAT TIME, YOU LUCKY GIRL!

In milan there was an incredible restaurant we found,,WITH THE BEST CALZONES!!!! Like the size of your head
Of course in Venice you have to do teh gondela ride. and I thought the glass blowing places were cool. the tour of the church was great too. Lost of little shops in the square to window shop.
