Anyone ever get a really bad reaction to sun?

Like a bunch of little bumps? I didnt know where else to post this and I am going BACK to Sandals soon and I the reaction was not very flattering - lol

are you sure its from the sun and not the sun lotion you used? I am not allergic to ANYTHING however i realized that the two times i used Hawiian Tropic sun tan lotion i broke out in little bumps. It can also be the lotion you used, just a thought.

I had the same problem when I used sunscreen and bug spray (don't ask). I not only had bumps, but was in pain. Definitely use stuff that is fragrance free and good for sensitive skin. Also, could be heat rash - in which case, not much you can do but try to stay cool.

Could it have been sand flea bites??? I know a lot of people complain about them in Jamaica...

It also could have been stinging plankton..I had a very similar thing happen to my arms on my honeymoon while snorkeling in Thailand. The locals said it was caused by a stinging plakton bloom...

It's probably just a touch of sun poisoning...did it sting and get worse the moment you hit the sun?? If so ,that's what I had in Florida, and sunscreen actually made it worse!! I know though sweetie, it aint pretty looking!!

actuallly i get the same thing- is it only in the springtime? I looked it up and you might be allergic to Uv-a and uv-b rays, if you get sunscreen that protects against both of them- theat will help you. I get them too!!!
