i want to get long curly extensions for the wedding-- church only and then get my hair redone and the extensions out for the reception-- is this even possible or am i being unrealistic?

I think it may be a waste of money if you are only going to pull them out for the reception. I've never gotten real ones, but that's because they are so expensive! Why not try the Jessica Simpson clip-ins? They make them with real hair so you can style them however you want...then you can pull them out after the ceremony if you want. I'd hate to see you spend so much money on something you aren't planning to keep in all night!

I brought clip in one for my e-party from Lucky's in Baldwin. They were like $60.. maybe look into something like that.
Why do you want them out for the reception? IMO extensions give hair fullness and they look great when curled and styled!

just as an fyi - i used to buy hair extensions all the time, the clip ins. the ones you buy in the store, like Ricky's, are all fake hair. you CAN NOT style them, use a hair straightener, blow dryer or curling iron to the synthetic hair or you will ruin it. Jessica Simpson does make real hair clip ons but you have to buy them online or a brand name hair salon. they are upwards of $300
why not wear all of your hair up throughout the day? if your going to pull them out for your reception, unless you hair a hair stylist go with you to the RH to redo your hair, it might be tricky and you might get strapped for time with pipcs in between.
why not look into permanent extensions? i use the hair locs system now and they are not really expensive compared to, lets say, great lengths,and it doesn't cause any damage to your hair.

I bought real clip in ones. real hair. you can wash them, dye them etc.
my friend todl me about them - they ran me about $85-100

I am curious about this as well,but I have very spirally curls. Do they make clip-ins like that? I haven't seen any, I only see wavy curls.

I had hair extensions put in for my wedding day. It was teh best thing I ever did because my hair is soooooo thin. I bought them myself, real hair, and clips to put them in. My hair girl curled them before I got there and then she put them in and finished my hair. If you want the store info where I got them just FM me.

I wore clip in's for a year.. I know it sounds crazy, but I cut my hair real short and hated it so I would go out all the time and wear the clip on's... I got mine on hairtrade.com.. I highly recommend them.. now my hair is as long as the extensions were so I don't need them but I love love loved them... I always wore the curly ones.. They stay tight in your head and are easy to get out.. I will be getting the glue in extensions for my wedding to make my hair fuller, but obviously you can not get those out inbetween ceremony and reception,,. You need a shower and bottle of conditioner lol
