Anyone ever have their train trimmed?

I love my dress but I kind of wanted a dress that didnt have to be bustled. I want it to look the way it is supossed to, you know? So I was thinking of asking the seamstress to trim my dress' train down to a wearable legnth that I can wear regularly through the whole night.

Anyone heard of this?

Yes, I am doing this. I didn't want to bustle either. My seamstress was actually the one who suggested trimming it.

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get your dress and who is the seamstress? Thanks.

I did this too. I cut the whole thing off and it looked great and was comfortable all night : )

I got my dress at Kleinfeld. The seamstress's name starts with either an M or an A, I can't remember. (I'm terrible with names!)
But she made it seem like it is perfectly normal to cut off the train, so I'm pretty confident that it will turn out great.
Good luck!!

A friend of mine did that because she hated the way the bustle looked. It looked fine with no train.
