anyone ever hear of maid to order?

It's a BM dress store in Brooklyn. I've been to RK bridal twice & everywhere else & I still can't find dresses I like. Why do they all look the same? Anyway, I heard of this place and thought I'd give it a try before I settle for something else. Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on them. Thanks

i have its in brooklyn.. i actually went there.. its a small store.. i think they are the only ones that carry vera wang BM dresses.. you'll find JH, lazarro, alvina(i think), watters and a couple of more designers there(cant remember) service was nice but dresses for the most part were over $200...

you may see repeats from what you saw at RK... ex the Vera wang

Thanks for the info. We didn't want to spend over $200 but I might give it a shot anyway. Sometimes small stores are better to deal with anyway.

they do have trunk shows there so when you make an appt i'd ask if any are coming up....

at one point they were runing 10% off JH dresses.. so you never jknow you may catch something like that!

Re: anyone ever hear of maid to order?

I actually got my bridesmaid dress there for a wedding I am in next month. I would recommend to stay far away from them. The bride lives in Brooklyn so that is why she chose them but they have been a nightmare to deal with. They were fine to deal with when she picked out the dress, but they were on the pricier side for the dress that she picked, (Lazaro $260 before alternations). Once we all started to go in and get measured and put our deposits down, it was ridiculous. On three seperate occasions they lost the measurements that they had for some of the bridesmaids call them repeatedly to give them the measurements. When I went in, they spent 20 minutes looking for the bridal partys measurements again, they eventually found them. The brides future mother in law is a seamstress for prada so she is doing all of our alterations, so once the dressed were in it seems as though maid to order wanted nothing to do with us. Last Friday, the bride made an appointment for me to go and pick up my dress and pay off the balance. I was on my way to Brooklyn when the bride called me and said that maid to order called her and said that they had decided to close 1/2 an hour early because they were short staffed so my friend had to pick up my dress before I tried it on there to make sure that it fit well, which I thought was totally unprofessional and worse yet when the bride got there at 20 minutes before they were the time that they said they were closing early, they had the keys in the door and said they wanted to make this fast becasue they wanted to go home. They were just horrendous with their customer service!!!

I know the store because it is within walking distance of my home. It is on 86th Street between 18 & 17th Avenues in Brooklyn. If I'm off a block either way I apologize, but I don't think so. It is relatively new. Looks like a very nice store.....never went in but I am definitely curious about it.

We went to Maid to Order and they're more expensive than RK. We ended up ordering our dresses from Valentina's, which is a few blocks away from Maid to Order.

MtO has a VERY small selection - only one of every dress of the lines they carry. It's best if you've seen a dress online, to call and give them the style number to see if they have it.
