anyone ever register @ Sears or someplace similar?? do u know how they are??

Just wondering if anyone has registered @ Sears before. Originally we were thinking about using target, but i have heard bad things about their return policy and things not getting checked off on the registry, etc.....

SO....since FH and i wanted to try and add a few 'different' things on our registry such as exercise items, tools, and/or small electronics we thought Sears would be perfect! HOwever, we went to the one in New Hyde Park tonight and the customer services was not good at all for registery. All they had was a computer kiosk and it wasnt working. No one could really help us, i dont even think they have those scanners there. I am thinking there might be a better sears to go to?? Anyone know of a really good sears on the island? Or anyone who had registered there can you share experiences??

Also....if you have any suggestions of a place that has similar types of items for an alternative aside from Target that would be great as well!! TIA!!

I havent registered there, but they do seem to have a lot of nice stuff there lately. (bedding, kitchen stuff, etc.)

I think its a great idea b/c of the tools and stuff you can get there and not at places like BBB and Fortunoff.

we are definately doing BBB, we just need to find something to do in addition to that. We could really do BBB and be fine

we registered at sears bc FH wanted to add things 'for him' you know, bc pots, pans cups and things like that are all 'for me' he did some tools and an air compressor. DONT ASK!!!!! we did it online bc the machine wasnt working.

i think you might be better off at Macys. they have tons of stuff and they always have great sales and coupons!

You could do a registry at Loews or Home Depot and register for your tools and appliances there. Then go to BBB or something like that for all the 'typical' things.

i was thinking about doing sears for the same reasons. Or maybe Home Depot or Lowes.

I'm not registering there because there aren't that many around where I live.

We registed at Amazon.com for similar reasons -- we wanted a variety of items, including a CD player, etc. that had nothing to do with the kitchen and linens.
We also registed at BBB for those who're uncomfortable with using the Internet. BBB is good because they give you a full cash refund for the items that you don't want.
