Anyone ever reschedule a party?

DH and I sent an evite to our friends for a Tree-Trimming party, but so far, we have gotten a few no's, a maybe, and one yes.

Since the list was small (a lot of our friends live out of state), I am afraid it will be us and two friends and no offense to the friends but that is not much of a party.

Has anyone ever rescheduled a small friendly gathering to get better attendance?

I have not, but have been invited to two parties that were....

One was on a day that a lot of people could not make it so they sent an evite out again telling people it was going to be rescheduled...they had it the next month.

The other was a shower, but the mom to be went into early labor so we had something for her after the baby and her were home from the hospital. That time her friend just sent an email to her friends letting them know. Then resent the invitation out the next month.....it was fun...she even got to have a drink or two!!!
