FI and I are trying to figure out if it is better for us to stay in a superior room or deluxe room. Any suggestions?

Re: Anyone ever stay at the Wyndham in Aruba?
Hi, ME!!!! ok we booked a superior room and they are not facing the water at all- when we got there we upgraded for another 1k to a suite room 900- a corner suite with 2 balconys each facing the ocean. they told us that ONLY the suites face the water. they are doing well they were in the end of june construction ( dont worry you dont hear a thing believe it or not) making a huge parking garage that is the view of the superior and deluxe rooms- when we walked into our superior room we were like what???????? Small rooms and the view- terrible. Def ugrade - trust me for the 1k for 11 days to upgrade was well worth it- the room was HUGE!
Huge suggestion******* try to stay if you get a corner suite or any suite from the 10th floor and higher- on the weekends they have weddings there and the music is EXTREMELY loud till midnight- 1 night we did a romantic desert and wine on our balcony ( a sat night) and we had to listen to RAP music the entire time- how romantic!!!! we had to laugh and said holy crap- I wonder what the people below us are saying b/c the music was sooooo loud on the 9th floor it sounded like it was in our room!!! HTH And the reception hall is below ALL the suites- and outdoors- no escaping !

WE HAVE WE HAVE! we loved it. we actually got engaged there... it was soooo nice! we couldnt splurge though for the suite. we had a partial view of ocean. We had the superior too and found it very nice. We had a amazing view and no complaints. The only complaint I had was the people at the front desk. I found them rude at times. otherwise, our room was great. We also never had a problem with music. I guess everyones experience is different.
good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awww so sweet you got engaged there!!! Im glad to hear the superior rooms are nice, ours wasnt- we had a very limited partial view of the ocean if you leaned over bigtime over the balcony and the view of the construction. Hollie when you book tell them you want a superior room or deluxe room at the end of the bulilding, if you get an end by the ocean you should get a great view there too. if you want complete ocean view then you have to get a suite but again ask how much to upgrade, it may not be that much. The music you wont hear on that side of the hotel- the reception hall is below the suites only. If you look at the picture of the hotel- you will see they are all balcony rooms but you want to be on the back ends of the building. if you are in the middle or towards the front the view is not good. HTH
oh yes the front desk- yup they are rude- very infact that I was comtemplating whether or not I would stay there again- but any of the hotels whether high or low rise- your in ARUBA - so it doesnt matter- the difference with the low and high is the low you have to walk across the street to the beach, the high youre on the beach.

We got engaged there tooooooo! I loved the Wyndham very nice hotel beautiful clean rooms the bathrooms are lovely. You got a nice little casino in there to gamble. The beach area is great too and you are in walking distance to all the watersport activities at the blue dock. They also offer this great romantic candle light dinner on the beach as the sun is setting very romantic I highly reccommend it. And the Italian restaruant in the hotel the food is awesome
