Anyone ever stayed at the Holiday Inn in Carle Place?
How was the service there? Anyone stay on the wedding night?

I went to go look at it to book a block of rooms, and liked it, then I went back to show FH and the rooms smelled like mildew, and when I asked about it they said it gets like that when it is raining out! YUCK!

I think they just remodeled it a while ago so the condition should be nice. I didn't block rooms there because for June they quoted me a group rate of $169 in person but when I looked on the internet it was $109!!! They wouldn't match it and I refused to get a group rate higher than the regular price since alot of my friends would see that price on the internet. Maybe that was the month though. Because my friend blocked rooms there in March and her price was pretty even to the internet special.

I am surprised they wouldn't match it! That is so not right. Did you ever complain to their corporate headquarters? I'm going to check now. We booked that for 4/30 and surrounding dates for our group and they quoted us $129.

FYI I checked out the Holiday Inn when I was planning b/c it was next door to CB, But I found out and booked Wingate Inn instead in Garden City for the SAME Prices as Holiday inn and it's MUCH nicer.
