Anyone ever use A Florid Affair?

I was just wondering if anyone has used a florid affair. I just met with Chris the other day and he was very helpful. He had some really great ideas and his prices were extremely cheap, much cheaper than other florists i have been to. I was thinking that they were maybe to cheap, but he did make me a beatuiful centerpiece and his pictures were really beautiful as well. I know he had mentioned that they were new but i was hoping that maybe someone else has heard of them or maybe used them. please help.

Re: Anyone ever use A Florid Affair?

I booked them. I visted many florists and they were giving me the most for my $$$. They do beautiful work as well. I had my sample cenetrpiece 1 week after I booked and I LOVED it. He is very creative and will design anything for you. They are a new company but he has been in the catering/floral biz for many years. I know b/c my cousin worked with him many years ago at a Scotto location. Go with your instinct. I did.

Re: Anyone ever use A Florid Affair?

Can you let me know what other florists you've visited so far in addition to A Florid Affair? Thanks.

Re: Anyone ever use A Florid Affair?

I booked A Florid Affair, they come to you and showcase everything. They are very well priced and the designer is great. Call Chris or Giovana at 516-384-6029. Tell her to tell them Karina sent you. I actually just spoke to him yesterday. They are VERY nice.

If I didn't book A Florid Affair I was leaning towards Flower Michelle Florist, he is in Huntington. But was a little more $$$. 800-345-8680.

I also liked, Designer Florals in Westbury. Her name is Sharon and I found her to be the most artistic. She made me a sample of my centerpiece but was way more $$$ than the 2 above. If $$ was no issue I would have picked her. #516-334-0864.

I also visited Pedestals in Mineola, 516-248-5300 and Flowers by Brian in Mineola, 516-873-7900. I did NOT like either one. They are VERY expensive and have terrible attitudes. My girlfriend used Flowers by Brian for her wedding and they were beautiful but they cater to more $$$$$ weddings if you know what I mean.

Please let me know if I can help anymore.
