Anyone ever used these vendors???

Hello ladies! I'm new to these boards and with only 100 days to go and most of my big decisions made I'm looking for some good practical advice. Any suggestions, specific tips or experience with these specific vendors would be GREATLY appreciated!

Wedding 10-11-03

Reception- Fox Hollow
Ceremony outside (hopefully, but we have and indoor backup if needed, thank g*d!)
Cocktail- Rose Hunt
Reception- Winter Garden Pavillion

Dress- Marisa 504 from Bridal Reflections Massapequa starting fittings next month.

Ceremony Music- Empyreal Strings Quartet

Photographer- Something in Blue

Hair and Makeup- Jennifer, Fairytale Makeovers

DJ- Tom from Spin Around Sounds

Tuxes- After Hours

Florist- Flower Michelle

Doing a Polaroid Guest Book

I'm considering hiring a 'day of coordinator' Elaine DeLuca to make sure everything runs smoothly and I can de-stress and me and FH and families and BP and enjoy the wedding instead of taking care of details all day. But from what I've read here on teh boards about how well Fox Hollow handles everything I'm wondering if I really need her. What do you ladies think?

I think day of coordinators are great but I just had to tell you you have great taste in dresses! I am wearing the same one! hehe!! I got mine at BR too in Carle Place though! What shoes are you wearing?

Elaine is my day of coordinator for my July 26th wedding, I'll let you know how it goes but so far she's been great~!

Marisa twin!

OMG! I can't believe I finally found someone else wearing the same dress!!! Have you had satin envy? I sometimes second guess the lace.

I'm wearing Fenaroli Sabrina (I got a bargain on them). They're dead flat, boring I know, but my FH and I are the same height so I couldn't wear heels. I figure no one is really going to see them anyway.

What about you, I'll betyou've got some sexy @ss shoes!

OMG!! Regina, you too!! Have either of you started fittings yet??? Have you found it a difficult dress to alter because it's one solid piece of lace? How are you bustling your train???

Yeah Congratulations!

I would suggest assigning the Polaroid guest book to a few people. My MOH just did one and if us girls didn't encourage/remind people she wouldn't have gotten half the ones she did. It came out awesome though!!

Hey, does anyone have any idea what they run for(Day of coordinator)

Thanks August!

Elaine DeLuca is $750 for day of ($1000 if she attends the RD too) This includes 3 planning meetings (usually starting 3mos. before the wedding) leading up to the wedding and her becoming the point person between you and the vendors once you hire her. REALLY reasonable as I've seen the same services offered for as much as $3000

Re: Newbie needs some advice

Jeng- thanks for the advice! I've asked the Best Man's wife to work on it, but I also think I'll ask 2 of my teenage (female) cousins, as my family is pretty big and they'll know everyone and be able to get the group shots together. I'm hoping they can catch everyone during the cocktail when people come to get their place cards.

I'm not going othave them mount anything. Just take the pics and have the guest write a note on a small card and clip them together and I'll mount everything in a kolo album when I get back from the HM. Does that sound like it'll work?
