I work in a restaurant and would NEVER do something to a customer's food no matter how nasty they are to me.
But I do know of people who have.

I worked in one restaurant and plenty of fast food places when I was younger. I nver did anything to the food myself, but I have seen many things that would discourage a person from eating out. Im sure things happen everywhere, but as long as I don't see it I am ok with it.

honestly...the worst thing I saw (besides the inevitable roach crawling on food) was the cook dropped a hamburger bun and picked it back up

I worked in a movie theater when I was like 16, a few of the kitchen guys peed in the nacho cheese (obviously before the came out with the sealed cups of cheese you get now) And at my very first job when I was 13 at McD's one of my co-workers licked every mcnugget of a 20piece that belonged to a guy who had jumped him once before

I worked at the GAP in High School and when I would get really snooty jappy customers that drove me crazy - i would mess with them - like if a customer was being really nasty and asked for a shirt in a medium in white - I would go in the back and wipe the shirt on the floor so it was all dirty and go back out with it and tell her that I found it, but it was dirty and it was the only one!!

I was a server/bartendar for a while. I don't agree with doing anything nasty to food only b/c I wouldn't want it to happen to me. BUT, I have eaten fries off their plate b4 I served it to them, but that was for any customer, just just nasty ones

Unfortunately I have worked in MANY restaurants over the years and although I NEVER did anything the stories I can tell would make you cringe.
Lets just say IF you are cheap and don't tip NEVER go back to that restaurant - AND IF you get the waiter in trouble - IF it was NOT their fault don't eat the dinner. OK well it wasn't quite that bad - but the things I saw would make you NEVER want to eat out again

i have always worked around food and i work around it still and i have not seen or heard anything, nor would i even think of doing something to someones food. karma baby. and when i go out, i too am sunshine. also, b/c i know what a hard job it is and i will try to make it as easy as possible. even everyone had a job like this, the world would be different!!!

my family has been in the catering business for years and i have seen it done by people but would never do that. my mother is actually so afraid of it being done to her because she has seen my aunt do it tons of times that she will never return anything ever!!! lol i usually have to switch entrees with her lol

A guy I worked with used to pick his nose and put the boogers in the cole slaw and then continue to mix the slaw up with his bare dirty hands. I never eat cole slaw out in a restaurant anymore
