Anyone familiar with Shelter Island?

I went on a school retreat (catholic school) to Shelter Island years ago. What I remember about it is the island only has literally 1 block of stores and they were just local stores.

There is a shopping center if you are going to go along the South Fork in Bridgehampton. I don't remember if their is a shoe store. I used to go their sometimes when I lived in Hampton Bays to go to Express, Gap, Victoria's.. I think they have a KMart there or Walmart one of those. Honestly don't remember if there is a shoe store.

You'd think it would be easy. My FH's little cousins are in our wedding. But their mom is a freak! She doesn't want them to wear shoes to match their dresses! She wants them to wear black shoes that she bought them! So my fmil spoke to her to try and tell her that they NEED shoes and she had no idea where to get them. SHe is COMPLETELY oblivious! She lived on SHelter Island her whole life and is totally clueless!

I can't honestly believe she has no idea where there is a shoe store. She probably doesn't want to buy the new shoes so she can get away with these black shoes.
