Does anyone else feel guilty about spending money on things that are not related to the wedding? I just bought two new outfits for special occasions but I feel so guilty I just want to return them.

I do, I bought stuff last week and I'm going to return them this week because I felt bad for spending so much money on things NWR.

I know what you mean. But personally, I am having a long engagement, and while we have cut a lot of unnecessary spending, it's unrealistic to think that you're not going to need new clothes in all that time, or other things for that matter. For us, we have calculated how much we need to put away in savings every month...any money left over (after bills and everything, of course) is discretionary. So we don't go out to dinner very much anymore, but I still get my manicure every few weeks... I would say as long as your spending isn’t going to prevent you from saving enough for your wedding budget, then cut yourself some slack. But I understand how you feel!

oh yeah....especially because I just yesterday bought a pair of Michael Kors shoes and a pair of Toy Burch sandals...omg love them. I felt sooooo guilty aftwards but my parents (even my father) justified my purchases to me because I havent bought myself ANYTHING in over 6 months, and they are good for work and I can bring them on my HM. I just couldnt pass up both pairs of shoes....too darn cute!

feel guilty all the time! we do put away a certain amount each month, but I do not buy anything! when last week I bought FH some very needed boxers and me a cute shirt, I def wanted to go back and return it. I kept telling myself that it was a needed purchase. Now I need new shoes! Like really need them, like wearing my black sneakers to work kind of need . ugh, it never ends!

Not really, but thats because wedding money automatically goes into our savings and whats left over in checking is non-wedding money.

I know exactly what you mean...I definitely felt guilty when I spent money on other things (esp non-wedding-related clothes God forbid lol!) besides wedding stuff. It's probably because we spend so much on our weddings, it's like how dare you spend even more?! But it's OK, we still have to live and aren't most of us ladies born with a shopping gene lol?
