Anyone feeling creative? Need help with wording for ....

our adults only rehearsal dinner ...

we're not actually rehearsing, so we had planned on calling it a 'welcome dinner'

the wording can be cute, but it doesn't have to be!

this is just to put with the save the dates (we are sending a little packet), not the actual invitaitons ... just looking for like 1 line to explain what we have planned ... something like this:

Friday, November 9th
WELCOME DINNER
Join the Adults for Dinner and Drinks as we Roast the Bride and Groom on the Eve of their Wedding
Details to Follow

Any ideas?!!

Note: Edited to fix spelling!

Something else I just thought of .... is this better? Or is it too cutesy?

Friday, November 9th
Welcome Dinner
A chance for the adults to mix and mingle
and roast the bride and groom
on their last evening of being single
Details to follow

I was just wondering if one line was supposed to be 'toast to the bride and groom' or was the word 'roast' put there purposely? I luv it though.

Oh, I know! No worries!

Does this sound better (so people don't think I had a typo)?

Welcome Dinner

to toast and roast the bride and groom
on their last evening of being single
Details to follow soon

I would add 'Look for' before 'details to follow soon'; that way the meter follows the rhyme-
otherwise I think it's PERFECT!

You girls are the greatest! We tweaked a word or two, and I wanted to share the final version we came up with:

Welcome Dinner
Friday, November 9th

A chance for the adults to mix and mingle
to toast and roast the Bride and Groom
and celebrate their last evening of being single
Look for details to follow soon

A 'roast' is an event attended by close friends/colleagues. It provides an opportunity for guests to poke fun at- or tell anecdotes about the roastee- in this case- the b&g
