Anyone find an overwater bungalow in the Caribbean?
I would love to surprise my future husband by finding an overwater bungalow somewhere in the Caribbean. We're not sure we can afford Bora, Bora and he would just love to experience staying in an overwater bungalow, even if it was in the Caribbean. Any suggestions ? Thanks!!!

I just read an article in a carribean magazine from borders (check it out, it has a lot of info.) They mention canouan in the grenadines as an exotic get away. They have a picture of an over water bungalow at the Raffles-Amrita Spa.

It's hard to find since the caribbean waters are not protected lagoons like tahiti/bora bora. But there is one resort in Bermuda called 9 Beaches that has overwater bungalows. They are not too far out, but still they are over the water on stilts. Good luck!!
We didn't think we'd be able to afford our FP honeymoon but with a lot of research, etc we ended up being able to! You can FM me if you want info.

We are staying in Belize at the Inn at Robert's Grove. They own two private islands, one with over water bungalows... not the same as Tahiti but still really cool. We are spending 4 nights on Roberts Caye and 5 nights at the main resort. Here is their website.

If you click on private island, you can see pics.
Hope that helps.
