I grew up in CT, although I was born on Long Island. I moved to NY for work 5 years ago. Let me know if you need any advice/tips. Still have a ton of friends up there, as well as my mom, so I go about once a month.

I take it you used to live on LI? My bro lives in Stamford, great town. I love it up there. You still are not too far from LI.

Thanks everyone. I moved to Norwalk but am working in dowtown Stamford. I don't know much except for some abrs/restaurants. Need palce for haircut, coffee palces, etc..... anyone know a way to meet new people too? My boyfriend is here, but I still like to meet people on my own too.

to be honest- ct is not the easiest place to meet people IMO- i went to college here so i have some friends left here but many went back home...

if you are in norwalk you have the stamford mall or the trumbull mall- you are in between both...the best is the danbury mall though

i still go to LI for my haircuts so i wont be any help there...but there are places in westport that i know people go to...

i still go to LI for haircuts too. CT is expensive! i guess i will need to find something here soon....but its a good excuse to visit my family on LI every 2 mos

Its so funny, I thought I was going to have to go back to LI for my haircuts too - I got too desperate though and went to Salon du Soleil on Main Street - it wasn't too bad.

I went to a great salon in Trumbull/Stratford area for years: Jade Salon. I used to keep going back for awhile once I moved to NY.
