My best friends dad is a judge in our town, and he married them at their RH. Of course it was free for them, so I don't know whether its cheaper or not

the town clerk from our marriage license place came to our RH (it's in the same town)...the charge was $75...we had SIL perform the majority of the service & she came to make it all legal...i think the charge would've been the same though if she did the whole thing

My DH and I got married at City Hall and the I believe it was about 45 for the ceremony. It took literally 2 minutes to get married.
Can one of your friends marry you if you paid for the online license? It should be cheaper and more personal.

Islip town hall charges $40...the cost of the license and thats all! That's to get married @ town hall...not sure if its different if you ask them to come to you.
Having a friend get certified is a great idea! There are some cheap online courses that they can get take to get the certifications necessary to perform a ceremony.

Just make sure that your marriage license place accepts the place your friend gets ordained thru if you do that...SIL got ordained & it wasn't an accepted place which is why we had to have the town clerk come...we found this out when we went to get our marriage license
