Anyone get teary the last few days before the wedding?

I am listening to some songs that we have chosen for the reception and I get teary-eyed just listening to them. This is very surreal actually. You wait your whole life for one very special day and it is almost here. And the best part is that I know 100%, not one ounce of doubt that Scott is the right person for me to spend my life with- good times and bad times. Just sharing since I am in my teary-eye mood.

I've got a week and a half left until my wedding. I know I'm going to get very emotional as it gets closer. I am sure many brides go through this. Its a very happy time in your life!

I have five months to go but I get teary eyed all the time. Sometimes I'll be sitting on the train and I'll start thinking about our wedding and being together and I start to well up.

Same here! I got teary-eyed watching online video clips of other people's weddings during my recent searches for a videographer. I can only imagine what I will be like, if random stanger's videos get me all misty-eyed!!

Michele, you are so sweet! That is a wonderful feeling, isn't it? I used to get teary ALL THE TIME when I was planning - in fact, it started when we were about 6 months away from the big day.

I think it's happening now b/c your plans are all set, there's not too much left to do, so all you have to do is THINK and FEEL what is happening, which a lot of brides don't allow themselves to do during all the hectic planning. (Actually, this was part of the topic on the Oprah show yesterday.)

Enjoy that feeling to the fullest!! I am sure you will still get teary hearing these same songs after the wedding....I know that I do!

My wedding is over a year away and when we went to a showcase the other night and the band was playing slow songs, I was getting teary!!!!! I can just imagine how I am going to be a few days before my wedding.

I have to say Michele, I get teary eyed all the time and I'm not getting married for another YEAR!! However, reading your post gave me goosebumps, I thought it was so sweet and I can totally relate!

Michele-I started getting teary eyed whenever I played our first dance song on the computer. It is such an emotional time ( in a good way). You will see all the beauty of your hard work in only a few days and you know it will be nothing less than wonderful. That to me can bring tears to anybodys eyes. Enjoy your time

I cried my eyes out the night before….I am an emotional person and I was very….
I also had a crying fit when I went to Estee Lauder Spa with my bridesmaids and we were 2 min late and they were going to cancewl our appointments and I just lost it…..

Yes, I cried when it was all over too. I think leaving the reception and the morning after. I was sad it was all over I am happy to have my life back on track now though and have time for other things

I've been teary since we got engaged! It's overwhelming, definitely. I've been afraid that I'm going to bawl on my wedding ... Every time I think of it, I cry more! Just reading this thread has gotten me started again. thanks for sharing, I've been thinking a lot about this too.

All of my emotions were right on the surface for a few days before until a couple of days after the wedding. I could be crying one minute and laughing the next.

I'm not one to get choked up...but that last week is stressful, so emotions were pouring out...especially with music!!

we had to choose a new mother/son song the last minute b/c MIL forgot John's fathers CD in AZ...so listening to the words of all the songs killed me...

I got seven months to go and I tear up all the time. I need to find a way to cry for the MONTH before my wedding so I'm all dried up on our day otherwise I wont be able to stop!! Congrats and enjoy your big day!!

I get teary all the time now. And I have 6 months to go. I'm never going to get through the day! Although, some people have suggested (I think to make me feel better) that if you cry up to your day, you'll be calm the day of. It's the people that hold it all in that truly lose it the day of.

I don't believe them!

You sound like me. I am on the train about three hours a day and I find myself staring out the window and getting teary at least a few times a week. It is especially bad if I listen to my first dance, father/daughter dance songs on my CD player.

Same here!! I have 7 months to go and I am always teary eyed. I have to learn how to control this because I don't want to embarass myself the day of the wedding balling my eyes out.
