Anyone get their marriage license through Town of Oyster Bay?

Anyone get their marriage license through Town of Oyster Bay?

I'm a little scared.

We applied for it on the 13th...and they said they would mail the official one to us. It still hasn't come- I'm a little worried it won't be here in time! Granted, I might just go there in person when I'm on LI...but it was supposed to be mailed to us here in NJ.

Why didnt they give it to you in person??

We sat there while the woman typed in our information and then she handed it to us 5 minutes later....

They did the same for us. You should call and ask why they didn't do that for you.

I would swear she said she was mailing us something- we do have something in an envelope but I don't think it's official. I can't see the envelope though because it's on LI. We are both certain she said she had to mail it to us...and we gave her the NJ address. Weird.

The thing in the envelope is your marriage liscence. They will mail you your marriage certificate after the wedding.

I went to the Town of Babylon offices in Massapequa on Hicksville Road. You can also go to their Oyster Bay location. You might be closer to the Islip Town Hall though...I believe they do licenses.

Um, the Town of Babylon office is on Sunrise Hwy in Lindenhurst. Massapequa isn't part of the Town of Babylon--I forget which township it's in, but it's not even in the same county, it's over the line in Nassau. Babylon is in Suffolk county.
