I need help finding a hotel thats close and reasonable. Also wondering if anyone is setting up a shuttle or ride for guests staying at hotel after the wedding?

I haven't done too much research yet on area hotels, buy I think I am leaning towards the Hyatt Wind Watch. We are going to have a lot of OOT guests, as FH is from Philly. We will probably hire a coach bus to take guests to and from the RH.
FYI, I heard that the Holiday Inn in Hauppague offers free shuttle service. I think it's a relatively new hotel, so pretty nice for a Holiday Inn. I do plan to look into it as well.
Also, an '07 bride had a great suggestion, she said to contact the Long Island Visitors bureau. www.discoverlongisland.com
Tell them you are planning a wedding and looking for __ # of rooms in a certain area. They will send back a more detailed list of info they need from you.
What they then do is send out a fax to hotels in the area you are looking for and get the hotels to almost bid on quotes for you.

bourne mansion brides yyayyy
i booked rooms in garden city bc the ceremony and some other things we're doing is there, but the bourne mansion suggests accommodations in the folder you got..
the wingate in garden city offers a free shuttle to and from the reception-- but i dont know how many they will hold i dont think more than 30 and i need more so i need to research other shuttle services!!

We booked the Courtyard by Marriott in Ronkonkoma. Big suites, pool and hot tub, bar that will stay open (if your still buying drinks) comfy beds, clean, nice linens.. HTH

I'm not getting married there- but my best friend did last august (pictures in my album)-- and we stayed at the marriott- it was wonderful- they kept the bar open and the rooms were around $150 a night

I'm also getting married at the Bourne Mansion Aug. 23 2008!!
I still haven't found a church, hotels etc. but I have heard that the Hyatt Regency is really nice. It is right on a golf course and has an indoor and outdoor pool. I think the rooms are around 200.
So tell me the details for your wedding at the Bourne Mansion - have you made any decisions on flowers, band etc. yet??

The Hyatt is really nice, my friend works there, but it's like 20 mins away. I really wanted something closer and I called the Marriott an they were reasonable but no transfer I guess I have hire a bus service.

Yay I am so excited!!! My flowers are picked out-I have to book them I went to Flower Michelle. THe woman was great. We doing Calla Lillies and other flowers for me, and mixed for the girls and Calla's and something else for the centerpieces, i can't remember. Half high and half low---We picked Code Bleu for the band---They are amazing- I ordered my dress and picked out the girls dresses-- We booked our Photographer but need a video. Need to do limos and video!!!!!!!!!!!! Stressed out about them.

We are getting married at West Sayville Country Club, which is right down the road. We are thinking of blocking off rooms at the Holiday Inn on Vets. Hwy. My cousin used it after his wedding and it worked out great. We got the rooms for around $60 (this was 2yrs ago) plus they have a restaurant/bar inside for any late night partiers! We will most likely provide some sort of transportation to and from since most of FH's family is OOT.

I am!! We didnt reserve any rooms yet, but there are a lot of hotels nearby and they are all pretty reasonable.
