lolll i knwo what u mean.. do u have a koumbara? shes supposed to buy them for u.. and ur not supposed to pick them out. so goooooood luck! lol

portara in bayside has nice ones and hoenstly.. dont even tell him or SHOW him lmao. they will be put on for a max of 3 min during church and when they do that stefana criss cross thing he wont be able to look at them cuz they will be doing it ontop of his head.

make sure u get a stefanothiki(case) and store it up reallly high in your bedroom away from where ppl can see. 'na min sas matiasounai' (not sure if u know greek)

lol it means like some1 will give u guys the evil eye. u dont want any negative energy twds the crowns. the crowns symbolize unity etc etc..

so basically keep them out of someones reach (visual) so no1 jinx them. aka.. keep them away from the haters!

portara.com. she works with u on price when u go to the store. shes bout to give birth in a few weeks so u might wanna go now..or wait til august-ish.

i bought everythign for my bros wedding cuz im the koumbara.. basically a koumbara is responsible for the crowns, silver tray, lambades, boubounieres and favors..

that stuff is expensive lambades alone cost me 500$. so if u buy everything from her, she'll work with u (koumbara)

also try kentrikon noufara in astoria, havent been there yet but i head they have a pretty good selection

youre fiance doesnt have to get baptized unless he's never been, or unless you have a very strict priest/church

he's not going to see them and he's going to wear them for 5 mins so dont worry about whether they look feminine or not lol... you can try anastasia's gift shop in flushing, or any of those greek stores in astoria (i cant think of the names but i know where they are lol)... but anyway your koumbara should be buying them but i guess if you just wanna see what they look like in person, try the stores

it really depends now (usually depends on the priest), usually theyre fine if the other person is catholic and baptized, but traditionally yes youre right barb they are supposed to be greek orthodox
