Will the Catholic Church still marry you if you have a prenup which details what happens with the assets in the event of a divorce?

This article is making me think that the Catholic Church is against prenups... Ok, that's not really a surprise but do they ask this during pre-cana?

It's hard for me to believe that no one who gets married in a Catholic Church has signed a prenup.

And when do you sign a pre-nup? How many months before the wedding?

I am getting married in the Catholic Church and most likely doing a prenup.

How would the church even know you have a prenup unless you tell them?

I don't know anything about the Catholic Church and pre-nups, but we did a pre-nup and you can sign it whenever is convenient for you. It's best to get this ahead of time, but for many different reasons people can end up doing it last minute. Like me and DH haha. My attorney was a total slacker and caused us a lot of grief with this. We ended up signing the morning of the wedding It actually wasn't such a big deal, and DH's attorney said he does more on the day of the wedding than not haha. Good luck!
