I used to get like 3 a year and now I am getting 3 a month!! They are mild but I know they are migraines because they start with my vision getting all screwwed up (it gets blurry and I kinda 'see stars' if you know what I mean), and then I get the headache. Again, it's not a killer and I can handle them (I have one now), but it's very annoying because if I don't take tylenol or something when the vision thing starts, it's much worse.
Given the overwhelming feelings I am having lately, I'm not surprised.
Anyone else???

Re: Anyone getting more migraines lately???
Welcome to my world. For almost the last year I have them all the freakin time.
I know mine are caused by the stress of my job and suprisingly NOT the wedding (my boss likes to blame them on the wedding though!)
I pop motrin like they are tic tacs!

yes, it's the stress. I've been getting them almost everyday. Well, headaches everyday, migraines about 3-4 times a week. Excedrin migraine is my miracle drug, it works really quickly. I take it as I get that my eyes cant take the light feeling and I'm better within 20 minutes.

I am getting them and than they went away but recently I get them more frequently but I think that is because I stopped taking the pill. I use to get them all the time when I was younger that is why they started me on the pill to regulate it...and now that I am off I get one before my little friend and one after. I take Imitrex now. They suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. I know I am getting one when I start yawning a lot and my jaw tightens up!

Me too and my wedding is over with! Does anyone else get leg cramps at night as well?? I was doing a bit of reading on these things and I talked with my SIL who is a PA. There is a possibility that you have a Magnesium deficiency. Drinking SmartWater has helped me b/c it has Magnesium plus water generally helps for migraines and headaches. Try drinking SmartWater and eating foods that are high in magnesium, it might help. It seemed to help me, but it's only been about a week so I guess we'll see. Feel Better

I never put yawning and migraines together -- I am going to have to look at that now and see. I get them when I am over tired but never thought to look at as a sign. My monthly friend influences them too and I am on the pill.

Yeah it is really strange, I have TMJ and when my jaw gets tight I start to yawn a lot and I know that is a sign my headache is coming.

Me too. Take acidopholis - you can buy it at any health food store. It's what's in yogurt but super concentrated. Helps to regulate the 'gut'and intenstines, etc.
I am a mess and every hour I think of something else to do and I just don't know how I will get it done. When I make a list, it doesn't seem THAT big, though. However, my to-do list for this WEEK - which includes a lot of non-wedding things - is huge. I really don't know how I will get it done.

Hmmm, interesting! I got a killer leg cramp a few weeks ago - and I get them here and there, not a lot though. I heard it's a calcium deficiency, the leg cramps. I know calcium needs magnisium to be absorbed though .... interesting idea, thanks!

Just as an FYI but SmartWater has Calcium too. I'm pretty sure it's CaCl and MgCl and something else as well, but I can't remember. I guess Gaterade and stuff like that is good too, but not if you are dieting or watching your carb intake. Please keep me posted if you find and cure-alls!!!
