My FH just had his hearing, they told him they will get back to him in 6 months to a year. So we are stressing out, our wedding is basically planned out how can we wait a year! That would be weeks before my wedding I need 2 get married somewhere. I am freaking out. I really want to get married in my church. Does it take that long?????

Mine took 1 year. When I finally met my husband, turns out his is a divorced protestant. The Catholic Church did not recognize his previous marriage because it was in front of the justice of the peace.......but they also did not recognize his divorce.....since....in their thinking, he was never married......Was so crazy....We ended up getting married at our reception hall by a formerly ordained catholic priest.. who had left the priesthood. He was wonderful. I can give you his info. Will send you forum mail
