My DH and I are planning on taking a mini vacation for our 1 year anniversary this June.
We are stuck between two hotels:
1) Occidental 2) Tamaram and Divi
I hear the Occidental is nicer and has better food and if we stay at the Divi we will stay at the Condos in Divi Dutch Village - this resort has more resturants of course, because we have rights to both hotel.
Any recommendations would be great. We have to book soon in order to get the spring rate. Thanks for all your help.

We stayed at the Radisson which is part of the high rise hotels strip...there was a lot of restaurants there and shops. Divi is where the low rise hotels are and honestly there's not much there...Occidental I have no clue where that is.

Occidental was the hotel right next to the Radisson- on the left side. Its a nice all-inclusive hotel right in the center of all the restaurants & high rise hotels.
I would stay in the High Rise area.

I haven't stayed at either hotel.
The difference between the two areas is that the high-rise section is more crowded and has a lot more action..people, restaurants, water activities, etc. The low-rise section is more low-key, less crowded. So if you want to be right there for the nightlife, restuarants, etc..I would say go with the Occidental..otherwise the low-rises would be more your speed.

I stayed at the Divi and the Radisson on my HM. They both had pluses and minuses but the Divi is indeed more secluded.

i stayed at the bucuti.. we loved it,, it was a low rise, next to the divi..great beach and quiet
where ever you go - dont get all inclusive.. the food in aruba is amazing..

We stayed at the Radisson as well. We walked by the Occidental almost everyday and it looked very nice. I have not stayed at either so I can't really tell you which one is better, but I can say that the Occidental was very nice!
