I joined in october, and I didnt go that much in november and december. Now I am back on track. They say go 3x a week, but I am thinking of doing 4. Anyone else go there? Do you have good feedback?

Re: Anyone go to curves?
I had a membership, and I liked it at first, but I am a night person, and they weren't open past 7pm, so by the time I got home from work, made dinner and cleaned up, they were closed. I also got bored doing the SAME thing over and over.

A few of us at work were thinking about joining. Is it expensive? What does a membership go for? Thanks

Re: Anyone go to curves?
Can someone please explain the programs they offer? It doesn't sound like a 'traditional' gym, so I want more info before I consider joining. THere's one in Smithtown not far from my new home. Thanks!

Re: Anyone go to curves?
It's not expensive. I got some kind of (small)discount because I was one of the first people to join the one by me, and I paid $30/month. I think it would be a lot more fun with company, so definitely sign up with friends.

Re: Anyone go to curves?
Claud, it's a circuit ofmachines and cardio stations. You can start at ant station, and every 30 seconds you move to the next one. For example, if you start at an arm machine, you do that for 30 seconds, then a voice says 'change stations' and you move to the next, which will be cardio, and you walk/run/jog/dance for 30 seconds, then move to another machine (possibly legs or abs) for 30 seconds, then cardio again for 30 sec. You complete the circuit 3 times, and that's your workout.

Jenn, thanks. I don't know...only 30 seconds makes it sound like you really don't have time to get 'into' whatever you're doing. But, I guess that would be better than me sitting on my butt!
Do you know if they have daycare?

Re: Anyone go to curves?
this sounds rather interesting ... too bad i already belong to a gym that costs 3x the amount! oh well ... maybe next year
here's the website for it if anyone is interested: Curve's Website
Claud, the one in Smithtown doesn't have child care, but it's small enough that I've seen quite a few moms park their stroller next to the station circle and watch their baby while they work out.

Re: Anyone go to curves?
I'm gonna start back this week. I love that the program is laid out for you and that once you get on the circuit, you don't have to wait for any machines.
